I have a 1979 volvo 245 with a B19, I had modified it in a B19AT ( modified the 175cd-2se carb , b21AT needle, plug the holes, mechanicall fuel pump with boost pressure, 103 ignition with big bell and manifold/turbo/oil cooler/intercooler from a B200ET) it's run great with aprow 130/140CH with 0.5/0.6bar boost pressure.
But I want to built another engine: I have a forged crankshaft from penta 86 stroke with 13mm rod and penta pistons ( -3mm), a b230 block with 530 head. type A camshaft so i built a b250AT ( or BT)
1-what is the minimum thickness for the head of the piston ? beacause i have to decrease the compression and machine the head ( 76mm *4.2, 4.5???) the penta piston are 68mmx3.2mm and 6.9mm thick in the center
2-if I stay with the 103 igintion with big bell , What is the best spark plug choice and coil? ( maybe later I buy a B21ET igintion with module)
3- I will buy a malpassi fuel regulator with a in tank efi fuel pump but I don't know the setting 0.35/0.5bar ( 5 to7psi) ?
4- In first time i will run with my single 175 cd-2se carburetor because already modified and run great, even to rich for the b19at: I have already in stock a AQ intake pipe and also 2 175cdus (not modified yet) , Ihave seen in the thread dual 175cdus (yellow cap) with turbo but I don't know the modifications : it is the same as the 175cd-2se or not?
Of course I have a lot of question but we will see later, just now If you can help me with this project, i'm greatfull. I like this forum , already read again and again these 45 pages :)
